Introduction

Hi and welcome,

We’re glad you’ve made your way to this page and that you’re interested to engage with and find out more about Community Village 2.0 and the broader perspective.

Over the past three years, we’ve spent a lot of time learning, listening, and reflecting on the topic of money. This FAQ captures our ongoing journey. It is a transparent record of the past & present state of money at Community Village, an inspiring vision for its future, and a living document that charts a path forward rooted in our shared values: Friendship, Meditation, Generosity, Openness, and Mindful Living.

We hope it will support your understanding of our choices, the path forward, and why we believe they best serve Community Village’s mission. We also hope it will contribute to the larger societal conversation around remembering the importance of community, and finding methods for valuing the work of community building in ways that are sustainable.

We believe money is not inherently good or bad but that how we relate to and use it matters. This FAQ, and our path forward at CV, is an invitation to collectively engage with and shift our perspective on money and its role in our shared journey in a major way.

We’ve divided this FAQ into 4 sections:

Engaging with this topic may be uncomfortable, and that’s ok. We appreciate you to engage with this practice to the extend you are able, and encourage you to take it at your own pace.

Lastly: We deeply appreciate your feedback!! This is a process, we continue to learn every day and are grateful for all input coming in. To offer feedback, reach out ([email protected] or [email protected]), fill out the Feedback & Ideas Form, or DM Caleb on WhatsApp to save your spot at the “Community Town Hall #1: Money” on Feb 20th.
